Green Land Black originated from the meeting of two musicians/composers and a lyricist and eventually a five-piece band. The process clicked because of the great love of music and desire to communicate it of those involved.
Louis Gagné
“I have always been a musician, it’s my life. All my past experiences have been influential in guiding me to the sound of Green Land Black. A world where my music can thrive. “
Serge Laporte
“It must be a good sign when creativity, commitment and good times are constantly there in the process of making an album.
This has proven to be the case for me in Green Land Black.”
Jeff Dingwell
Jeff is a graphic designer, closeted rock star and writer of all things lyrical.

2008 Spotlight review of the Green Land Black song: “Enough”, Recording magazine

Recording: If there has ever been a better submission to Reader’s Tapes than this one, we can’t recall what it might be. Serge (along with Louis and Jeff) has put together a masterful effort here. The writing is top notch as are the performances and the recording. We love the tones, the use of panning, and how about those handclaps?! Individual sound sources weave in and out effortlessly, and the track never loses its focus or drive despite the advanced arrangement. “Enough” gets an A-Plus: go to the head of the class, gents!
Summary: We’ll be singing this one for days!
